Pastor Rodney Collins was born and raised in Greensboro, North Carolina by his mother. At 18 months old, Rodney’s dad passed away, which in his adolescence years lead to challenging behaviors such as selling drugs, possession of weapons, and the influence of the wrong kind of people.

As Pastor Rodney reflects over his life, there are many situations that have occurred that he is sure God showed his mercy, grace and protection. There was a significant situation as a child, when Pastor was hit on the leg by a car while riding a bike. As the bike positioned under the car, Pastor Rodney found himself standing on the sidewalk gazing at what could’ve been worse. There was another instance where Pastor Rodney was driving home in inclement weather.  He became comfortable with driving, and began to play not knowing that the weather would not be on his side.  His car smacked a pole and wrapped  around it yet, Pastor climbed out unharmed.  There were many attempts by the enemy to end Pastor’s life, but God’s intervention changed the outcome.

In 2014 there was an unexpected turn of events, which lead to the remarkable call from the Holy Spirit to Pastor Rodney. He was not seeking to be a Pastor but yielded to the voice of God, who instructed him to preach. This birthed Covenant Word Ministries of Winston Salem. On August 24th, 2014 Pastor Rodney Collins was ordained as Pastor by his mentor and Father in faith, Pastor Ronald L. Diggs of Word of Life Tabernacle.

Along aside Pastor Rodney is his wife Tracey, and joined to this union are three children , Jessica, Jason, Jennifer and her husband Matthew.

Pastor Rodney's and First Lady Tracey heart’s desire is to see lives changed, prayers answered and to let people know in the ministry, in our community, and around the world that God’s grace is available to anyone.
